United Kingdom stock market over the long term (since 1693), in nominal, real and gold terms (annual data, last Nov. 5, 2021 and Sep. 30 for CPI index).

Looking at the following chart it looks like you would have made a profit on the long run on UK stocks.

But in real terms (inflation wise) it is not really the case.

And more against gold, you lost money.

And for those who are going to tell me that I am forgetting the dividends, I would answer there are fees (transaction fees, safe keeping fees and taxes).
